Why is now the time to pursue the GLISTEN initiative?
“GLISTEN is a platform that is providing local actors with the capacity to be in the lead. It is empowering them, so now is the time. It would’ve been better yesterday, but it’s never too late.”
What do you see as the most exciting opportunities for the GLISTEN initiative?
“The local scientists are hungry, they want an opportunity to address their problems. This is an opportunity that GLISTEN can ride on to achieve its goals in the Global South.”
What is your message or challenge to peers in the scientific community?
“This is the time to rise up and take charge. It is the time to rise up and put the real ideas on the table and it needs to be done, right now.”
